While there are many different AI tools and models out there, some may require creating an account and others may include paywalls and subscription services. Whenever possible, the tools we discuss here will include a free option. However, neither York College nor Schmidt Library subscribes to or directly endorses any particular tool. Please practice safe internet strategies.

This guide approaches the use of AI from the perspective of identifying and evaluating sources.

• We will not be exploring generative tools for writing research articles or reports.
• We will not be discussing using AI for primary research or data analysis.
