Websites should generally be one of the last places you visit during your research.
Articles and information for library databases have been reviewed and selected by librarians and experts, making them a lot easier to trust. However, most websites can come from anywhere. Be sure to evaluate the websites you find in order to know if you can trust them.
These websites connect you to primary sources and open educational resources on the web as well as history organizations.
All government websites should end in .gov; so, we can use Google Advanced Search in order to find public government information.
One of the other reliable types of websites you can use in your research comes from schools and universities. These sites should end in .edu and we want to ensure the authors are professors, researchers, or other experts.
Additionally, make sure that the purpose of your website is to educate. We don't want to cite advertisements or news articles as research.
