Library Closure FAQ: FAQ

This guide will help you navigate library services, answer frequently asked questions, and get help while the school is closed.
× The library staff are dedicated to supporting our students and faculty throughout the campus closure. While the building will remain closed, librarians are available to help you remotely to find electronic sources, answer research questions, and assist with virtual information literacy instruction.

How can I get help with research?

Research services will continue to be available online at

Use the buttons at the bottom of any library page or Summon search.


How do I return my library books?

Fines will be suspended during the campus closure.

You will NOT be charged late fees for materials that were due during the closure.

All materials (including InterLibrary Loans) will not be due until after the college reopens.

To check on due dates or renew materials, log into our catalog:

Are InterLibrary Loans still available?

No physical materials will be available for ILL.

If any ILL physical materials comes due during the closing period the due date will be suspended and the item(s) will be due upon the library’s re-opening with all fines suspended.

You will NOT be charged late fees for materials that were due during the closure.

All materials (including InterLibrary Loans) will not be due until after the college reopens.

Can I checkout something from inside the library?

Per request of the President the library building will be closed for the duration of the closure. This means NO students, faculty, or staff other than LTS staff are allowed in and out of the building.

As a result, physical materials are unavailable for checkout.


Use these databases to find ebooks available to read online 24/7!


When searching Summon for eBooks, be sure to filter your results by "Full Text Online" and "Book/eBook"

Can I get library instruction for my class?

Video Tutorials

Are your students preparing for a research assignment? Consider linking our video tutorials into your online courses to help your students navigate planning, locating sources, and creating citations.

Canvas/Moodle Integration

Can I add something to e-reserves?

If you have a scanned copy of a document you'd like to be made available to your students electronically via e-reserves, contact Joy Rusonis ( for help.

What if I need to find a replacement for a print source?

If you need an item on reserve for one of your classes, contact us at with information about your course or assignment as well as the content it covers in order for us to help you locate a suitable electronic alternative.
